Novak Djokovic took advantage of his coronation with Serbia in the first edition of the ATP Cup to significantly reduce his delay on the world No.1 Rafael Nadal in the ATP ranking, published on Monday.
"Djoko" is only 515 points behind "Rafa", against 930 in the first 2020 edition of the world ranking the previous week.
The Serbian won his eight matches in the ATP Cup, including a one-way single 6-2, 7-6 (7/4), in the final against ... Nadal.
Another big beneficiary of the week, the Russian Andrey Rublev who rose five places to 18th world, thanks to his coronation in Doha, the third of his career.
Gaël Monfils, the first Frenchman, lost a place, 10th in the world. Corentin Moutet jumped eleven places (70th) after his great week in Doha where he played, and lost, at 20, the first final of his career.
