  • A video filmed during act 61 of the "yellow vests" shows police officers throwing tear gas canisters while children are nearby.
  • On Saturday, the same day, a police officer was filmed tripping over a protester. An attitude aimed by Christophe Castaner during his vows to the police who he asks for exemplarity.

Since Saturday, the video has been looping on social networks. Like every Saturday for 61 weeks, the "yellow vests" have met in downtown Toulouse. After demonstrating in the streets of the city center, they find themselves at Place Saint-Georges.

In this cat and mouse game, they are closely followed by the police. On the extract published on Twitter, one of them then throws a tear gas canister. Except that a few meters away, on the right, is a play area where there are children. Frightened by the events and the violence of the moment, we see a little girl crying and a mother with a child in a stroller caught off guard. A police officer then goes to them to evacuate them from the square.

“Incredible, there are still children playing on the streets of Toulouse on Saturdays. It must quickly be said to Christophe Castaner, that he warns the police, ”quipped Gérard Miller on his account.

Similar criticisms have multiplied for forty-eight hours on social networks questioning the intervention of the police on the spot.

"Demonstrators had just set fire to objects on the public highway, two or three hand grenades were launched to disperse the violent demonstrators who were there. As they fled, behind them, on the right, they saw that there were children, they rushed to evacuate them, ”one explains to the departmental security of Haute-Garonne.

A policeman tackled by Castaner

This controversy comes after a second, on the sidelines of the same event. Later in the day, while the procession is dispersed, a police officer who knows he is being filmed is tripping over a protester who is ebbing, without her being able to anticipate this gesture.

A sneaky crooked paw to project a woman arrested, hindered and supervised by her colleagues. Is there a word strong enough to describe such cowardice?

The most fascinating? He knows he is filmed. He even casts a knowing glance at the camera, about his impunity. pic.twitter.com/76LhhdQ3Sw

An attitude tackled on Monday by the Minister of the Interior in his wishes to the police. "It is the honor of the police that is at stake, we do not make a dent in ethics, except to lower ourselves, to lower the police," noted Christophe Castaner.

The day before, Edouard Philippe had also deemed this croc-en -leg unacceptable. But had balanced by indicating that the mission of the police "is incredibly difficult, because it is incredibly important".
