The suspected woman was arrested on Thursday after the boy entered the emergency room in Västerås together with relatives with a stab injury. According to the police, the woman should have a family bond with the boy.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder or serious assault. During the arraignment hearing in Västmanland District Court on Sunday, the court chose to arrest the woman suspected of gross misconduct on probable grounds.
- She is being detained because there is a risk that she will make the investigation more difficult, says prosecutor Stephan Uttersköld.
Prosecution must be brought by January 24.
