Two thousand people are currently waiting in Marseilles for an embarkation for Tunisia, because of a strike at La Méridionale

A strike filled with uncertainty. The sailors of the company La Méridionale block, at the call of the inter-union STC-CFTC, since Saturday Le Méditerranée , while 2,000 people must embark for Tunisia from Marseille. As La Provence explains, they have also been blocking two Corsica Linea boats since Friday.

In question, the uncertainty hanging over their company, when it no longer serves the ports of Bastia and Ajaccio since the call for tenders launched by the community of Corsica was awarded to Corsica Linea in October latest. No agreement was found between these two companies for two lines for which the tender did not find a taker. A strike notice has been filed since January 9, blocking all of the company's boats at dock.
