Earlier, the commander of the Space Forces of the IRGC, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, explained the delay in the announcement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Iran of the reason for the collapse of the Ukrainian liner.

The incident occurred on January 8, a passenger plane of Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737 crashed shortly after taking off in the Iranian capital. As a result of the crash, 176 people were killed.

Later, the Iranian General Staff said that the liner was shot down accidentally as a result of a human error.

President Hassan Rouhani noted that those responsible for the crash will be held accountable. The head of the judiciary of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, called for an investigation of the situation as soon as possible.
