"The Iranian government must allow human rights organizations to monitor and report on the ongoing protests. There must not be another massacre of peaceful protesters, and the internet must not be shut down. The world is watching, ”Trump continues to write on Twitter.

Strong reactions

It was early Saturday morning that Iran acknowledged that the country was behind the air crash and the Iranian Air Force's top commander, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, personally takes responsibility for the shooting.

"The military's internal investigation has determined that robots fired because of human error regrettably caused the horrific crash of the Ukrainian planet and the death of 176 innocent people," Iranian President Hassan Rouhani wrote on Twitter.

The recognition sparked strong reactions in Iran and in several cities people went out on the streets to demonstrate. Pictures on social media can see large crowds screaming slogans and demanding that the country's highest spiritual leader resign. Reactions that have been answered in several places with water cannons and tear gas from Iranian security forces.
