Long led, Lyon overturned Bordeaux (2-1) thanks to Maxwel Cornet and Moussa Dembélé on Saturday for the 20th day of Ligue 1, going back just four lengths from the provisional podium with this third victory over its last four trips in the league.
At the Matmut Atlantique stadium, a mistake by Lyon defender Joachim Andersen allowed Jimmy Briand to open the scoring for the Girondins (15th). But Cornet, with a deflected shot (50th) and Dembélé, well launched by the Ivorian (53rd), allowed OL to win and move up to fifth place in the provisional classification. Bordeaux equalization signed Laurent Koscielny (85th) was refused for offside after recourse to video arbitration.
