For a number of reasons, it is difficult for small municipalities to do something about houses that are decaying. In 2015, the Swedish Housing Agency presented a report on the fate house problem and according to representatives of the municipality of Norsjö, nothing has happened since then. But now the Ministry of Finance has a small opening in progress.

- We are working on a new assignment for the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning, which means that the authority will be able to make further and deeper analyzes based on some of the proposals in the investigation that were made a few years ago, says Secretary of the Department Ludvig Lundgren.

The issue is being raised in Parliament

Among other things, it is about reviewing the municipalities' conditions to start and pay for a supervisory case and to submit property owners about measures.

- I also think it will be relevant to further investigate the possibilities of some kind of support to equalize the different conditions that the municipalities have, he says.

The issue will now also be raised in Parliament. Christian Democrat Gudrun Brunegård writes about the problem in an interpellation. She wonders what Housing Minister Per Bolund (MP) intends to do about the matter.
