“This note, like other appeals of this kind coming to us, was returned by the Russian Foreign Ministry to the Ukrainian side without consideration due to the lack of grounds for protest,” the ministry said.

As the Foreign Ministry noted, the Russian leader and other officials of the country should not coordinate their trips to the territory of Russia with foreign states.

“This fully applies to the Republic of Crimea and the city of federal significance Sevastopol. We urge the Ukrainian side to finally accept the reality of the belonging of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia, ”the ministry emphasized.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry protested in connection with Putin’s visit to Crimea.

On Thursday, January 9, it was reported that the Russian president observed the course of the joint exercises of the Northern and Black Sea fleets in the Black Sea from the side of the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser. During the maneuvers, more than 30 ships, a submarine and over 40 aircraft were involved.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
