In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, a man was attacked by a miner in the city center of Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, and was stabbed seven times, report our colleagues from South-West.

The suspected suspect was arrested by police on Thursday. He has been placed in police custody and could be prosecuted for attempted murder. The victim was hospitalized in serious condition but his life is no longer in danger.

An investigation is underway to determine the specific circumstances of the assault.
