Al-Minyah surprised the Palestinian Islamic preacher Hajj Mahmoud Abdel-Baqi (Abu Khattab) in Kuwait at the age of 83 during a religious sermon about the exploits of the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, during a wedding ceremony for a young man.

And the pioneers of social media circulated a video clip documenting the moment of the preacher's death and pronouncing it as a testimony, "There is no god but God" before he then breathed his last.

The rolling clip showed the sheikh delivering a religious sermon in a group of people about the exploits of the Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, to conclude his words with "There is no god but God" and then he breathed his last.

Abu Khattab Mahmoud Abdel-Baqi, a Palestinian from the village of Balaa in Tulkarm, studied and obtained a master’s degree in Islamic studies from Kuwait University, and worked in the charitable field.

A number of preachers from various Arab countries praised the Islamic preacher Abdul Baqi and his keenness on charitable work in Kuwait and the Arab world, as he contributed to the establishment of the Al-Othman Zakat Committee, which is considered one of the first zakat committees in the Arab world.
