January 10, 2020 Still a collapse in the tunnel after those on the A26 and A10: part of the plaster of the vault of the 'Ricchini tunnel, in the municipality of Quiliano (Savona), on the A6 Turin-Savona collapsed last night. The tunnel remained closed in the direction of the Piedmontese capital and was reopened in the morning after the firefighters and Polstrada removed the fallen materials and carried out the surveys. The A6 is the same highway where, on 24 November, a piece of viaduct collapsed overwhelmed by a landslide.

When the plaster broke away from the vault of the Quiliano tunnel (Savona), no vehicles passed. The removal, cleaning and safety measures on the A6, managed by Autostrada dei Fiori, ended before dawn without causing traffic problems.

Aspi: "Adjustments to EU regulations do not concern structural safety for tunnels"
The adaptation of the plants in the tunnels managed by Aspi and mentioned in the report of the Council of public works is in progress in 90% of cases (in some already concluded), while for the remaining 10% tenders are in progress for the award of the works. Aspi points out that by underlining that in April 2019 he had already communicated to MIT the list of compensatory measures adopted for the adaptation to the plants of the tunnels belonging to the trans-European corridors. Aspi also states that the interventions envisaged by EU legislation do not concern the structural safety of tunnels.
