Today, Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin witnessed the testing of "Kingal" and "Caliber" missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads, within the waters of the Crimea region annexed by Russia.

It should be noted that Russia has been keen to show its defense of the Crimea, which is a peninsula in the Black Sea geographically connected to the Ukrainian mainland, since its annexation in 2014. Russia's inclusion in the region has been met with widespread international protests.

The missile tests came during Russian naval exercises in the Black Sea.

According to the "TASS" agency, the Russian President followed the course of training from the cruiser "Marshal Ustinov" the missile carrier, who, as commander-in-chief of the armed forces, issued an order to conclude the training after successfully carrying out his duties.

The agency pointed out that the Black Sea Fleet and the Northern Fleet conducted a joint training in the Black Sea, which included the launch of missiles, including the winged "Caliber" missiles and "Senegal" hypersonic. The «TASS» that the training took place with the participation of more than 30 ships and submarines and more than 40 aircraft.
