09 January 2020Signature filed in the Cassation for the referendum on the reduction of the number of parliamentarians. The appointment scheduled for this morning has been postponed. The reason was the withdrawal of the signatures by some senators. "Some, I believe 4, have withdrawn their signature. But others have asked to be added - explains Andrea Cangini of Fi among the promoters of the collection - for this reason it seemed correct to reopen the terms of the signature collection and ask for a new appointment in the Court of Cassation". Before 4 senators paraded, there were 66 signatures collected. 64 are required to ask for a referendum. The deadline for filing in the Court of Cassation is January 12th. The parliamentarians who have withdrawn their signature are four Forza Italia senators, from the area close to Mara Carfagna, led by Massimo Mallegni.
The promoters of the collection, as far as we learn, were closing the minutes, when Mallegni blocked the operation, giving rise to a discussion. The report was therefore blocked, as was the delivery. Also as far as we learn, even among the senators of the Democratic Party who signed a reflection is underway, after the agreement with M5s on the electoral law. The signatures must be collected and recorded by Sunday 12 and can also be delivered to the Court of Cassation on 13.
