09 January 202018.03 Life imprisonment for the ex Nar terrorist Gilberto Cavallini, guilty of the crime of competition in the massacre for the bomb of 2 August 1980 at the Bologna station. This was decided by the Court of Assizes, after six and a half hours in the council chamber. The sentence came 40 years after the bomb exploded which left 85 people dead and over 200 injured and after almost two years of courtroom trial. The accused, detained under provisional semi-liberty in Terni, has been sentenced to nine life sentences in total. The ex Nar has always declared himself innocent.
