The semi-finals of the League Cup will oppose Reims to Paris SG and Lyon to Lille, according to the draw carried out Thursday evening on France 3 (January 21 and 22, order of matches to be determined).

Winners of the competition eight times, the Parisians will travel to the Rémois, who fell from the defending champion, Strasbourg.

Paris were ruthless in the quarter against Saint-Etienne, reduced to 10 from the half hour of play and swept 6-1. For its part, Reims eliminated the Strasbourg after shots on goal (0-0, 4 tab to 2).

Lyon, victorious only once in the Coupe de la Ligue in 2001, will receive Lille, a finalist in 2016 against Paris. The Lyonnais eliminated Brest 3-1 while the Lille eliminated Amiens 2-0.

For this final edition of the Coupe de la Ligue before its scheduled disappearance, the draw was made during the broadcast "Tout le Sport" on France 3 by ex-striker Pedro Miguel Pauleta, double winner of the competition with Bordeaux (2002) and PSG (2008).

The former idol of the Parc des Princes took advantage of the credits of the show to show a sign on which we could read "Ne pars Edinson", addressed to the Uruguayan of PSG Cavani, announced leaving at Atletico Madrid.
