According to sources, American satellites recorded two launches of ground-to-air missiles shortly before the plane crash.

Sources also claim that rocket components were allegedly found near the crash site.

At the same time, the United States believes that "the aircraft was chosen as the target by mistake."

Earlier, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said that the main versions of the plane crash in Tehran include an anti-aircraft missile strike, a collision with an unmanned aerial vehicle or other flying object, engine destruction and explosion for technical reasons, and a terrorist attack.

The head of the Iranian civil aviation organization, Ali Abedzadeh, stated that the version that the plane was shot down by a rocket is unreliable.

“At the same time, several Iranian and foreign aircraft were flying at the same altitude, so the version that the plane was shot down by a rocket cannot be true under any circumstances,” his words are quoted on the website of the Iranian organization.

Abedzadeh also said that Tehran has provided all the necessary data to all countries interested in the investigation.

On January 8, the Boeing 737 crashed shortly after taking off in the Iranian capital. The victims of the crash were 176 people.
