"Companion cards" will give more freedom to functionally diverse people in Oskarshamn

- The idea is that the functionally variable pays for themselves but that their friends go in for free, explains Anton Sejnehed (S), chairman of the Education Board in Oskarshamn.

In this way, the municipality wants to increase access to cultural and leisure activities for functionally diverse people. This could be, for example, visually impaired or people with social phobia, who otherwise would have had difficulty attending certain events.

So far, a dozen different associations and institutions have joined the Kompiskortet.

- We want to be able to include these people so that they all come to our matches, says Robert Karlsson, board member and trainer for IFK Oskarshamn, one of the affiliated associations.
