Malin's clothing and other interesting items from the crime scene are now being analyzed at NFC, the National Forensic Center. The hope is that the killer has left DNA traces behind them, and that they should be able to find them with new technology.

- There are many objects that are in for analysis, so it takes a long time. But we want to do it carefully, says Anders Eriksson.

Have collected DNA from several people last year

In anticipation of answers, the police have made so-called summits in the past year. This is to collect DNA from different people, which you can then compare with a possible answer from NFC.

- It is not people who are suspicious, but interesting for various reasons. It is just as much about being able to dismiss people from the investigation.

Formerly suspect one is not topsed

A man was arrested for the murder in September 1994, but about two days later he was released after questioning and house search. He is the only one who has been formally suspected in the investigation.

Is he topsy-turvy?

- That man is not topsad, he has been emigrated since many years back. My assessment is that he has nothing to do with this crime, says Anders Eriksson.
