On October 25, 2018, the Court of Appeal confirmed the magistrate's decision. After the rejection of an appeal by the Constitutional Council on May 17, 2019, the Court of Cassation definitively validated, on October 1, the referral to the correctional system of the former Head of State, and dismissed seven other appeals. The trial date is to be set in the coming months.
