In October, Södertälje Hospital launched a savings package with an action plan. to cope with the economy and in November it was announced that the new department 29 will be closed down and six geriatric care sites will disappear from January. Increased long-term care needs
At the same time, it is now said to see an increased need for long-term care. For some time now, patients from Botkyrka have also been admitted and according to statistics, the number of patient visits has increased by 12 percent over the past two years.
