According to what is learned from the Municipality of Andria, at the moment there has not been an order from the prefect commissioner on the clearing of public buildings, in any case to carry out inspections the activities in the schools have been interrupted and the institutions have been evacuated. The epicenter, according to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, was recorded 5 kilometers from the city and at a depth of 9 kilometers, in the Pandolfelli area.

The president of the Puglia region, Michele Emiliano, got in touch with the regional civil protection to follow the evolution of the seismic event felt this morning in Andria. From the regional civil protection operations room it was confirmed that an earthquake of magnitude 2.7 was recorded in the area of ​​Andria at 8.50 am. The checks with the Province then started from the Regional Operations Room. The shock, albeit slight, was felt by the population who contacted 118 and the Fire Brigade for information. However, no damage to people or things has been recorded so far. The regional operations room has informed Sala Italia of the Civil Protection Department and is in contact with the INGV. President Emiliano will continue to follow the evolution of the story in contact with the managers and technicians of the regional civil protection.
