An increasing number of young people are active in sports associations and Finspång has the lowest proportion of young people active in Östergötland, 49 per cent. To reverse the trend, the FAIK bandy started the skating day.
- We invite children and young people in class 1-6 and we as an association bus the children to Grosvad to skate, says Jesper Forsberg, chairman Faik.
In addition to getting the kids out, the project offers the opportunity to recruit to the bandy business. The project is now in its third season and has over 400 children registered.
