The beIN Sports group announced Tuesday that it will broadcast the entire Euro-2020 in France (June 12-July 12), after having concluded a broadcasting agreement with UEFA, the organizer of the football competition.

In detail, out of the 51 matches in the tournament, 28 will be exclusively visible on the pay stations of the group based in Qatar, according to the beIN press release which does not specify the amount spent to broadcast them.

The other 23 will also be available "in the clear", the M6 or TF1 groups having announced in November that they would share part of the Euro, including the opening match Italy-Turkey and the posters of the France team .

BeIN Sports has already broadcast all of the 2012 and 2016 editions, as well as the Mondial-2018. According to figures then reported by the press, the media had spent 60 million euros for all the meetings of Euro-2016.

"TV rights" in football have experienced major upheavals in recent months, with the shattering arrival of the Sino-Spanish group Mediapro which is set to become the main Ligue 1 broadcaster this summer instead of beIN.

BeIN also sold to Canal + in December its rights on the L1 for the period 2020/24, via a surprise agreement which sealed a change in strategy for the Qatari group, more focused on major international competitions, in a particularly competitive French market.
