The coffin of the two men killed in the same raid with eight others was placed in front of a platform where the Revolutionary Guards Commander, Major General Hussein Salami, addressed speeches.

As was the case in the previous stages of the funeral, the mourners swirled in black, many of them uploaded Soleimani's photos, and chanted again the anti-US and Israeli chants.

The last three days witnessed a large funeral ceremony in Ahvaz, Qom, and Tehran, and in the capital, the Iranian leader, Khamenei, President Hassan Rouhani, and the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, in addition to the new commander of the Quds Force, Major General Ismail Qani, participated in the funeral.

Iranian media had reported that millions participated in the funeral of Soleimani in Tehran, and the crowds that participated in the procession were described as unprecedented.

Earthquake response
In a speech delivered today at the funeral of Qassem Soleimani and his companions, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Hussein Salami, said that the Iranian response to the killing of Qassem Soleimani would be strong and earthquake, and that his country would take revenge on what he described as the enemy.

Salami said that considering that the assassination of Soleimani marked the beginning of the end of the American presence in the region (Anatolia)

In recent days, Iranian officials have threatened to respond militarily to Soleimani's assassination, and some have indicated that the response may also be through pro-Iranian groups.

In the context, the Al-Jazeera correspondent in Tehran reported that the Iranian parliament is considering an urgent law to strengthen the ability of the Quds Force to respond to the assassination of the commander of the Quds Force, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards.

Today, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that the situation in the region has entered a new stage after the assassination of Soleimani, and it cannot return to before that.

Beginning of the End
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said today that the United States, through the assassination of Soleimani, laid the foundation for the beginning of its end in the region, and the countdown has started in this direction.

He added that Washington will receive the answer of what he described as foolishness and audacity at the appropriate time, and stated that the path that America has chosen for itself and for the region is the path of war and bloodshed.

He also described the assassination as a big gamble, considering that Washington's wrong accounts caused instability in the region.

The Iranian minister said that what happened on Friday is not only an attack on the sovereignty of Iraq, but rather targeting one of the pillars of those who were fighting terrorism, and stressed that the countries of the region must cooperate and dialogue to achieve security, and that mutual understanding is what brings security in the region. He pointed out that Iran is following the path of solution, and the countries of the region should follow suit.
