"Secretary of State Pompeo reaffirmed the firm commitment of the United States in supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Belarus, and also stressed the strengthening of bilateral relations between the countries," the US State Department quoted Interfax as saying.
The statement also noted that the parties discussed the situation in Iraq and the secretary of state "praised Belarus for supporting the condemnation of the attack on the US embassy in Baghdad."
Earlier it became known that Pompeo postponed visits to Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Cyprus due to an attack on the United States Embassy in Baghdad.
