Kuwaiti academic and intellectual Abdullah Al-Nafisi announced his readiness to appear before the court at the time determined by the court, against the background of the case against him regarding "insulting the UAE."
Al-Nafisi said in a statement on his Twitter account that he received on January 5 this decision to arrest, bring, and prevent from traveling against the background of the case that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs filed against him, noting that he had not received any notice of the case during the period leading up to the last judicial procedure.

The Kuwaiti Criminal Court had issued an order to seize and bring Al-Nafisi to appear before her in the "Abuse of the Emirates" case, which was a tweet via Twitter.
