President Donald Trump says if Iraq calls for the withdrawal of the troops, he will impose unprecedented levels of sanctions and warn that sanctions against Iran will look like medicines.

Trump told reporters on an Air Force One flight back to Washington from Florida on a vacation, Reuters reported.

Earlier today, Iraq's parliament convened a resolution on US troops with a resolution on US troops bombing and killing Iranian troops at Baghdad.

The Iraqi parliament's resolution is not binding and governmental, but it does have a major impact on the government's policy decisions under the parliamentary system of Iraq.

In response, Trump says he built billions of dollars in a massively expensive US air force base in Iraq before he took office, and said he would not leave until he paid the cost.

Trump also stressed that the United States is seriously retaliating for retaliating against the killing of commander General Sommani Revolutionary Guard.
