He will initially be temporarily replaced by Ove Molin and Mikael Holmqvist who will share the main responsibility.

The third year in a row that coaches can go

Now they have done away with their head coach prematurely three years on the rake. In 2017 Roger Melin was allowed to go after only eight games and in November 2018 it was sort of Tommy Sjödin and his assistant coach Janne Larsson.

Magnus Sundquist came to Brynäs for the 2018/19 season as assistant coach to Tommy Sjödin. Sundquist took over responsibility when Sjödin got fired. Brynäs extended with Sundquist in 2019 a three-year contract (2 + 1), that is, a construction where both the association and himself could cancel the contract in 2021.

But now he had to go after 30 matches with the association and, unless otherwise settled, paid for the spring of 2021 by Brynäs IF.

The Sports Director is given new duties

The association also announces on Monday morning that sports director Andreas Dackells may leave the position as sports director, to instead take on strategic advice for the entire sporting activity. Initially, he will focus on the men's team and support the new coaching staff, including by reporting to the coaches from a stand position during the matches, the club writes in a press release.

Furthermore, the club director Michael Campese will take over the administrative parts from the sports director service.
