The Foreign Ministry expressed surprise at the fact that "with what persistence the leadership of Ukraine is pursuing a course towards the heroization of the leaders of the so-called national liberation movement in the period 1940-1950, members of Ukrainian nationalist groups."

According to the ministry, such work is carried out by the Ukrainian side not only within the state, but also at the international level.

The ministry said that Ukraine is "stubbornly voting" against the resolution on the fight against the glorification of Nazism and neo-Nazism.

“Supporting neo-Nazism at the state level in Ukraine is a serious threat to the entire world community,” the Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry called on the Ukrainian authorities to abandon the "vicious practice of whitewashing Nazi minions and mocking history."

On December 18, the UN General Assembly adopted a Russian resolution to combat the glorification of Nazism.

133 states voted for the document. 52 countries abstained from voting. At the same time, the United States and Ukraine voted against the adoption of the resolution.
