Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Olivier Faure, Fabien Roussel, Julien Bayou or Philippe Martinez co-signed, among 65 left-wing figures, a platform calling for the withdrawal of the pension reform and the opening of "real negotiations", published in the Sunday newspaper.

"We ask for the withdrawal of the project presented by the Prime Minister so that real negotiations can be opened without delay with the trade union organizations, for a fully fair and united pension system, bringing progress for all, without lengthening the duration of life at work ", ask the first signatories of the text.

Besides the leaders of La France insoumise, the Socialist Party, the Communist Party, Europe Ecologie-Les Verts or the CGT, there are also the spokespersons of the NPA Olivier Besancenot and Philippe Poutou and the coordinator of Generations Guillaume Balas. By their side, deputies (Clémentine Autain ...), European deputies (Raphaël Glucksmann ...), senators (Esther Benbassa ...) but also actors (Josiane Balasko, Corinne Masiero), journalists (Audrey Pulvar), sociologists, researchers ...

"This project is not acceptable because it brings about a regression of the rights of each and everyone: all the hypotheses put forward by the government should be financed by pension cuts or by the lengthening of the working life However, other choices are possible, "say these personalities.

Discussions between the executive and the unions on this reform are due to resume on Tuesday. A day of action is planned for January 9, with a call from the inter-union (CGT, FO, CFE-CGC, Solidaires, FSU) to an interprofessional day of demonstrations and strikes. Then on Saturday January 11, with a call to demonstrate across the country.
