At the summit convened by the prefect of Bergamo, Elisabetta Margiacchi, following the cases of meningitis that occurred in the Sebino, also attended the councilor for welfare of the Lombardy region, Giulio Gallera. Yesterday the vaccine was administered to 350 people, residing throughout the Bergamo area (Municipalities of Adrara San Martino, Adrara San Rocco, Credaro, Foresto Sparso, Gandosso, Parzanica, Predore, Sarnico, Tavernola, Viadanica, Vigolo and Villongo ). Today the surgery is open until 4pm. Tomorrow it will reopen from 9am to 4pm.

The 16 year old is better
The conditions of the 16-year-old boy from Castelli Calepio have improved since he was hospitalized yesterday in the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo for meningococcal sepsis, the same infection that has already affected, in a month, four other people in the same area of ​​Bergamo , two of which died. The sixteen year old remains hospitalized in a reserved prognosis, but his clinical situation is now stable: he breathes on his own and the prognosis is improving. The outcome of the typing analysis has not yet been communicated, which will have to confirm whether it is also in this case the type C of meningococcus, the same that appeared in the other four previous cases.

Alarm returned to the Camonica valley
Fear of meningitis also in Valle Camonica (Brescia) for a suspected case of a 62-year-old man hospitalized in a coma in the Anesthesia and Resuscitation department of the Civil Hospital of Brescia.
