At the New Year's first tuna auction held at the Toyosu Market, called `` the kitchen of the new Tokyo, '' NHK reported that 276kg tuna was sold for 190 million yen.

This is the second highest amount ever since Tokyo's fish market moved from Tsukiji to Toyos in October of last year, following the 336 million yen (approximately 3.37 billion won) recorded at the first tuna auction last year.

The New Year's first tuna auction at the Tokyo Fish Market is famous for being the wholesaler and sushi giants winning big and quality tuna at huge prices.

Tuna, which had the highest price in the first auction this year, was caught in Aomori prefecture and was awarded by Kiyoshi Kimura, president of Sushi Zanmai, a Japanese food company.
