The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned last Thursday the Turkish parliamentâs approval of a draft resolution that would allow military support to be provided to the Libyan Accord government.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said that President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi presided over the National Security Council meeting Thursday evening, which dealt with current developments related to the Libyan crisis, and the threats that the Turkish military intervention in Libya would represent.
He added that "a set of necessary measures has been identified at various levels to address any threat to Egyptian national security."
