New South Wales has been hit extra hard by the extensive forest fires in Australia. The small village of Moruya has not been spared and it was in a hurry when Bec Winter had to flee with his son Riley.

Riley got a seat in the cousins' car, but Bec couldn't go. Instead, she got to escape on her horse Charmer. She managed to get to a safe beach where she met her son. Now Charmer lives in the bar owner's backyard until the situation is under control.
