The scrum half of the Stade Toulousain Antoine Dupont formulated his wishes for the new year: to achieve a 2020 course similar to that of 2019 with the bonus of a "best place in the Tournament" of the Six nations if he is selected in the XV of France .

"A season like the previous one with the Stade, that will suit me very well," said Dupont, questioned about his wishes for 2020 during the press conference before the movement of Stade Toulousain on Sunday (9:00 p.m.) at the Jean-Bouin stadium opposite at the Stade Français, on behalf of the 13th day of the Top 14.

"I want to have a full season without injury with the club and, if I'm good, with the selection," added the international who also wants a "better place in the Tournament" if he is "with The french team".

France took 4th place in the last 2019 Six Nations Tournament, the 2020 edition of which begins on February 1. As for Stade Toulousain, it won its twentieth title of champion of France last season.

"If they call me (in the French team) I will of course go with pleasure. If they (the coaches) believe that I am still too fair, they will be the ones to make the decision. We are always at the service of the French team ", underlined Dupont, who resumed competition only last week when entering on time at the Stadium against Toulon (13-13) after having been handicapped since the World Cup in Japan by pain dorsal

Against the French Stadium, Dupont should be given more playing time.

"Physically, it's better," said the player. For now, "my path is to have fun, to play, to find collective markers", he explained, recalling that his last match with Toulouse was the last final of the Top 14 against Clermont (24 -18).

"Everything is not lost of course. But there are always small adjustments (...) It takes a little time," he said.

About the performance against Toulon (13-13), Dupont drew up an uncompromising observation: "They managed to make us outmaneuver. We fell into their trap," he lamented, noting shortcomings and moments when Toulouse was "not connected".

"We were never on the same wavelength. However, we are never as good as when we all play together," he insisted.

For Dupont, Toulouse must be wary of Paris, whose 14th place does not correspond to reality: "They have recovered their players. They are growing in strength. And when you play a team that is growing in strength with strong individualities, it can hurt".
