The Ligue 1 clubs enter the Friday Cup in the Coupe de France, in the 32nd finals, which promises to be unbalanced for most of them, starting with Paris SG, but much less for Monaco and its new coach Robert Moreno, opposed to Reims.

The Spanish technician conducted his first training on Monday, two days after being inducted into the replacement for Leonardo Jardim. And he will have no respite, because unlike the majority of the elite teams, the start of the season will be on Saturday (3:00 p.m.) not against a club from the lower divisions, but against the team which is ahead of Monaco in the League classification 1, Reims (6th).

"Our priority is this first match. We will prepare it as best as possible in a very short time. It is one of the best French teams in terms of organization, especially defensive," warned Moreno upon presentation to the press.

The former assistant of Luis Enrique at the head of the Spanish selection will notably have for first mission to maintain his players in confidence, they who remain before the truce on a broad success against Lille (5-1). Qualifying for the 16th round of the Coupe de France would allow ASM to best prepare for the following week, marked by a long-awaited double confrontation against PSG in L1 (January 12 and 15).

The PSG, precisely, will have less to draw from its entrenchments for its return. Back in drop-by-drop training on Thursday - later than all the other L1 teams - the stars of the champion club of France will challenge ... amateurs. It is Linas-Montlhéry, club of Essonne evolving in Regional 1 (the 7th division), which indeed inherited the great favorite of the competition.

For Parisians, the goal is to avoid the scares, before entering a hellish calendar before leading them to the knockout stage of the Champions League against Dortmund on February 18, with by then potentially a dozen matches to play if they pass all the rounds of cups.

In addition, the title holder Rennes has the toughest opponent of Ligue 1 clubs because he faces Amiens on Saturday (6:00 p.m.), in what is the only other opposition between elite teams.

In fact, apart from Bordeaux, which opens the ball on Friday against Le Mans (8:55 p.m.), Brest, traveling on Sunday to Lorient (2:15 p.m.) and Dijon, who makes the trip to Valenciennes on the same day (5:15 p.m.), all the other residents of the first division challenge an opponent evolving below Ligue 2.

This is for example the case of Metz, which has the honor of closing the weekend Monday (20.55) with a trip to the lawn of Rouen (National 2).
