The Integrated Transport Center of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi stated that the new traffic tariff system in Abu Dhabi provides a grace period of 3 months for vehicle owners to register their vehicles with the system, stressing that no violations will be counted on crossing the traffic tariff gates without registration during the grace period .

The Center renewed its call to all vehicle owners, to the necessity of completing registration during the specified period, and to ensure that there is sufficient balance in their accounts.

The new traffic tariff system requires payment of transit fees only during peak times, with the aim of reducing traffic congestion, enhancing the flow of road traffic, and encouraging community members to use alternative transportation methods.

The traffic tariff system is applied to four gates on major bridges in Abu Dhabi city, which are Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Al Maqta Bridge and Mussafah Bridge, so that the fees for the vehicle are calculated through the plate number, without the need to install a transit card for the traffic tariff system on the front windshield For the vehicle.

The total peak times that require payment of transit fees for vehicles, 4 hours per day, from 7-9 in the morning, and from 5-7 in the evening from Saturday to Thursday, and at 4 dirhams per crossing, and a maximum of 16 dirhams for individual vehicles per day, where The fees are deducted automatically from the user’s prepaid account, without counting any fees outside peak times, Fridays and during official holidays.
