According to the prosecution, the 22-year-old must have stabbed the 25-year-old several times with a knife in the middle of the blank day inside Andersberg's center in Gävle. The 25-year-old suffered injuries to his right hand and neck. He later died of his injuries.

The suspect has in several interrogations denied a crime, but in the lawsuit he confesses the deed and the prosecutor believes the crime was committed intentionally.

The evidence includes surveillance footage and the suspect's bloody clothes, as well as a series of testimonies.

Threatened three guards

The man is also being prosecuted for two cases of illegal threats. Among other things, the prosecutor believes that the man repeatedly threatened to kill a woman when he was arrested. While in custody, he was also suspected of a case of threat to an official. According to the indictment, he is said to have threatened three guards who would bring the 22-year-old to his cell on the arrest.

Suspected robbery attempt on authority in Gävle

The 22-year-old is also charged with stealing audio equipment for just over SEK 30,000 from a public university and for an attempted robbery inside an authority in Gävle. There, the 22-year-old is suspected of forcing another man to hand over his wallet and cellphone.

The man acknowledges the threats but denies the theft and disputes responsibility for the robbery attempt.
