There is no shortage of business operations and projects for Edward Gallagher, the United States Navy non-commissioned officer defended by Trump but described as a "psychopath" by soldiers. This former "Navy Seal", who has been accused of killing Iraqi civilians, uses his popularity to promote various products on his Instagram account which brings together more than 51,000 subscribers. He even launched Salty Frog Gear, his own clothing line, reports the New York Times on Tuesday.

Edward Gallagher, 40, has created an online store where, for example, hooded sweatshirts are sold with a pocket for carrying a bottle of beer. But also t-shirts mocking the United States Navy and the soldiers who testified against him during his trial. Treated as "bad girls" on the clothes, the soldiers claimed that their comrade had committed war crimes.

Last summer, the man was finally found not guilty of most of the charges. He had only been found guilty of having posed with the body of a young Iraqi prisoner. Downgraded to the military, Edward Gallagher had his conviction overturned by Donald Trump. Since then, between promotions of coffee or protein food supplements on Instagram, the American has frequented the president's relatives, participated in rallies of conservative Republicans and expressed himself in the media.

The non-commissioned officer for example published this Friday on Instagram a photo where he holds a cup on which is written: "I love it when I wake up in the morning and that Donald Trump is president". The head of state for his part described him as "one of the last fighters" during a political rally in Florida. Edward Gallagher is also working on writing a book on his career.
