The alarm came to the police at 9am on New Year's Day after a passerby found a dead person outdoors at Tumba station in Botkyrka municipality. According to police, the person is likely to have been at the scene for a long time.
"It will be investigated who the person is and what the cause of death is," says Towe Hägg at the police's command center.
Relatives are not notified.
- It can take a long time before we get any answers, says Towe Hägg.
The scene has been blocked off and police technicians will now conduct a crime scene investigation.
The death is investigated as murder.
