Today, the Abu Dhabi Traffic Tariff System comes into effect for four hours a day, during corn times, from seven to nine in the morning, and from five to seven in the evening.

The Integrated Transport Center, affiliated to the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, confirmed that any vehicle not registered in the system can pass through the traffic tariff gates, at times other than the peak times, without being subject to violations.

In detail, today the traffic tariff system will be activated at the entrances and exits of Abu Dhabi city, which requires payment of transit fees for tariff gates during peak times, with the aim of reducing traffic congestion and encouraging the use of alternative transportation methods.

The system is applied to four gates on the main bridges in Abu Dhabi city: Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, Al Maqta Bridge, and Mussafah Bridge, so that fees are calculated on the vehicle through the plate number, without the need to install a special transit card on the vehicle's windshield.

According to the center, the total peak times that require payment of transit fees for vehicles, includes four hours per day, from seven to nine in the morning, and from five to seven in the evening, from Saturday to Thursday, by four dirhams per crossing, and a maximum of 16 dirhams for individual vehicles per day the one. Fees are automatically deducted from the user’s prepaid account, without any fees outside peak times, Fridays, and during official holidays.

In response to the inquiries of followers of his accounts on social media platforms, the center confirmed that crossing unregistered vehicles by the system of traffic tariffs outside the peak times (paid fees) does not constitute a violation, whether it is related to crossing the gates without registration, or crossing without paying fees, but he warned against crossing The vehicle that is not registered with the system of tariff gates during peak times, because that exposes it to a violation that doubles its value every day from the date of its registration until its payment, starting with 100 dirhams for the first day, 200 for the second day, 400 for the third day, and a maximum of 10,000 dirhams.

327 new buses

The Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi announced the purchase of 327 new buses, adding 47 trips from the outskirts of Abu Dhabi to Abu Dhabi City, 43 additional trips via Khalifa Bridge coming from Al Shahama and Yas Island, and 104 additional trips across Al Maqta Bridge coming from the areas of Mussafah, Baniyas and Al Nahda.
