The night sky is an impressive display that is never boring, and in 2020 we are on a date with some of the most enjoyable astronomical phenomena that you can see with your eyes. You do not need to travel far away. These astronomical phenomena are simple and you can see them from your balcony or the roof of the house.

Eclipse and meteors
The first and most important event of this year will be on the morning of June 21, which is the wonderful annular eclipse of the sun, which will be most distinctive in Yemen, Oman and southern Saudi Arabia where it can be seen completely.

As for the rest of the Arab Gulf states in addition to Egypt, Sudan and Libya, they will see it partially, but in any case it will be a wonderful sight.

On the morning of June 21, NASA announces an annular eclipse.

On the nights of December 13 and 14 we are on a date with meteor showers, where it falls in remote areas at rates of up to 120 meteors per hour, and in the city the number is less than that by a clear difference, but you will enjoy the scene from anywhere.

Meteor rain occurs when the Earth passes during its rotation around the sun with the remains of a comet or an asteroid, and these remnants enter and burn in our atmosphere.

The giant moon and the alignment of planets
On the ninth of March we meet with the so-called "giant giant moon", a phenomenon that occurs when the moon is at its closest position to the earth, and at the same time it is in full moon, the moon appears closer to the earth and more bright and large, and you can see the giant moon from Street or balcony of your home.

As for the 18th and 19th of March we are on a date with the dance of the planets and the moon, where at dawn you can see with your eyes a wonderful lineup between Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury next to the moon, it will be a wonderful sight, be sure to see it.

Mars appears in a bright red color, while Jupiter will be the brightest of these bodies in white, and Saturn appears yellowish, and Mercury is a little difficult to see because it is close to the horizon, but appears in a yellowish color.

Planets shine in the night sky like stars because they reflect sunlight, just like the moon, but they are very far away and appear as stars.

Also in March, you can see one of the wonderful astronomical sights after sunset, and for more than two hours, look towards the western horizon you will find a shiny object like a bright lamp, this is the planet Venus, in its greatest brightness during the year, and it will be in March / March at the farthest distance from the sun so that you can look at it easily.

Remember that following up on astronomical phenomena is a pleasant and beneficial habit, especially for children, that pushes them to love science and meditation, and keeps them a little away from tablets, so they interact with nature around them, and this is necessary for healthy growth.
