The Houthi group brandished a new military escalation against Saudi Arabia and the UAE by targeting vital centers there, in the context of what it called reciprocity in response to the Saudi-Emirati coalition's continued bombing of civilians and the siege of Yemen.

On Sunday, the group's military spokesman, Yahya Sarie, announced at a press conference in Sanaa that they had decided to target six vital and sensitive centers in Saudi Arabia, and three in the UAE.

Soari added that this would represent a great pain for Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, which he said are continuing to besiege the Yemeni people and carry out hostilities against their sovereignty.

Causes of escalation
And on the reasons for this escalating announcement by the Houthis, especially after their attacks on Saudi Arabia recently stopped, the leader of the Houthi Higher Political Council, Muhammad Nasser Al-Bakhiti, attributed this to their "responsibility to liberate every inch of Yemeni soil," explaining that they are dealing with any foreign forces It is present in the country as an occupying force.

Al-Bukhaiti told Al-Jazeera Net that the goal of the unilateral ceasefire initiative, which the Houthis had announced earlier, was to encourage those he described as Saudi-Emirati aggression countries to accept a cessation of the war by giving them an opportunity to get out in the face.

But he considered it dealt with it as an opportunity to change the rules of engagement, and that it was necessary to bomb the depth of what he described as the enemy, and to warn him to receive more painful strikes, if he did not stop his aggression on Yemen.

Al-Bakheiti emphasized that the Houthi initiative to stop their military operations was temporary, and it included the Emirati depth as well as Saudi Arabia and its time period ended with the launch of a ballistic missile at the Saudi army in Najran in response to what he called the crime of targeting the "Al-Raqou" market in Saada, in reference to the bombing of dozens of dead and wounded from Civilians.

The Houthi leader said that any military escalation or targeting of civilians by the UAE or Saudi Arabia will be answered by the appropriate means.

Why Emirates?
In the same direction, Houthi leader Suleiman al-Ghouli explained that Al-Hadaf Bank includes the Emirates because it showed its lack of seriousness in the peace that she spoke about, which she recently said has become one of her priorities, and because she has not withdrawn from Yemeni lands.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera Net, Al-Ghouli indicated that the UAE is still continuing its intervention and financing of separatist militias in southern Yemen and Tariq Saleh's forces in some areas.

He said that the UAE is also still practicing economic war on Yemen, and that it has become obligatory for the Houthis to send it from their missiles and their flying planes one-third of the share of the "aggression alliance", with two-thirds sent to Saudi Arabia.

The Houthi leader pointed out that the goals will have a fundamental and painful impact that may make the Saudi-Emirati alliance before two options, the first is economic collapse and the final fall during the year 2020, and the second is to submit to peace efforts and end the aggression and siege on Yemen, and pledge not to interfere in Yemeni affairs, and leave The Yemenis, as they put it, solve their problems themselves and build their country.

Political goals
For his part, Yemeni political analyst Yassin Al-Tamimi believes that the recent Houthi threats to reach nine targets in both Saudi Arabia and the UAE are not a new development, but they are more specific in relation to the nature of targeting.

Al-Tamimi told Al-Jazeera Net that this type of identification is based on the results of the major air strikes that targeted giant Saudi oil installations and changed the rules of the game, which some international reports say are carried out by Iran or its affiliates and not the Houthis.

He added that these threats can be placed in its regional context, given that they relate to the nature of tension and the blockage of the horizon of dialogue between Iran and Saudi Arabia, based on the impact of Iranian efforts to build a regional security system shared by the countries of the region and liberated from the current hegemony of the Western Navy.

Regarding the political goal behind this escalation, which came after months of calm between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, it is - according to Al-Tamimi - the Houthis' desire to relocate the secret communication channel run by Britain after London set a ceiling for the goals of those talks, which ends with building a political partnership With the authority of the Houthis, just as was the case during the era of their predecessors from the imams before 1962.

According to the Yemeni political analyst, this path is the Houthis are keen to come to a solution at the end, which means that the solution will be limited to them and Saudi Arabia, and neutralize other players, led by the internationally recognized legitimate authority in Yemen.
