30 December 201923.01 Almost 7 million children will close the year as internally displaced persons, away from their homes, in light tents or even outdoors, risking to die from the cold, in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It is the alarm launched by Save the Children. In Syria 2.6 million children have been displaced due to almost 9 years of conflict, forced into dilapidated shelters, often without electricity. Another 2.5 million children have fled to other countries, where temperatures are often cold, such as Lebanon.
