As Slyusar noted, rebranding consists in the correct formation of a “target market positioning structure” that will deal with the creation and sale of civil aircraft, as well as the correct approach to the name of “products of this division”.

“Perhaps the target model is to make a single line under the single name of all aircraft. At least, it is precisely this practice that has been adopted on the civil aviation market, ”RIA Novosti quoted the head of the UAC.

According to him, rebranding is a process associated with the formation of the Civil Aviation Division, which would include a set of assets involved in civilian projects.

As Slyusar noted, this could be Irkut, which implements the MS-21 program and on the basis of which the division is “assembled”, as well as GSS - the manufacturer of the SSJ100 and a number of civil assets.

“We are talking about creating a new subject of civil aircraft engineering in our country, about creating what was not there - a united civilian structure that manages the line of civilian programs,” he added.

However, he clarified that such processes require proper market positioning.

Earlier, Slyusar stated that the production of civilian medium-range MC-21 aircraft is planned to be increased to 120 airliners per year.

According to him, this can happen by attracting international companies to their production.

As the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov noted, a demonstrator of the Russian-Arab supersonic business jet may appear in 2023, and the aircraft itself in 2027.
