The Council of the League of Arab States will hold, tomorrow, Tuesday, an extraordinary session at the level of permanent delegates headed by Iraq to take a unified Arab position regarding illegal foreign interference in the Libyan issue, which threatens the stability of Libya and the region.

The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ambassador Hossam Zaki, said that the General Secretariat received a note from the Arab Republic of Egypt requesting an extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council to discuss developments in the situation in Libya and it was circulated to member states and after consultations with Iraq, the president of the current session of the League Council Egypt, the owner of the invitation, decides to hold the meeting tomorrow.

Zaki added that Egypt asked in its note to discuss the situation in Libya and the potential for escalation that threatens to threaten the stability of Libya and the region and ways to settle the crisis in a comprehensive and integrated manner in all its aspects in order to preserve the Libyan state's resources, national institutions, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
