The initial information was that the fire should have started in an apartment or on a balcony. But at present it is very difficult for the emergency services to say about how the fire started or exactly was.
During the night's major rescue work five stairwells were evacuated and many apartments were damaged in the fire.
- The roof has burned down on most of the property. Since then, water has run down from the extinguishing work, causing water damage in the apartments below, says Lars Larsson on Sunday morning.
From having several units from several stations in place to fighting the fire, the rescue service has now gone down to a station that handles fire extinguishing and guarding at the apartment block.
