22 July 2019 "Kill them all lesbian, gay and pedophile ste". These are the shock words written on Facebook by Giuseppe Cannata, from Fratelli d'Italia, vice-president of the municipal council of Vercelli and member of the provincial order of doctors and dentists.

Words referring to an article by Senator Pillon in 2018, concerning the Arcobaleno families, and reposted by Cannata himself. The post, after numerous reports, has been deleted by the author.

Harsh reaction from Arcigay Rainbow Vercelli Valsesia, which calls for the immediate resignation of Cannata.

The content of the sentence is an unheard of violence - underline the Arcigay board - both for the threat of death and for the juxtaposition between homosexuality and pedophilia. Never before have we been insulted and attacked in such a violent way by a representative of the institutions of our city. For this reason we ask for the immediate resignation of Cannata from the office of city councilor and we ask for his expulsion from the Provincial Order of doctors and dentists of Vercelli ". The members of the committee also ask the mayor of Vercelli, Andrea Corsaro, to take a public distance from the words of Cannata: "We will present a complaint to the Provincial Order of doctors and dentists - they conclude from Rainbow - and we will decide whether to apply to the judicial authorities to become a civil party".

Melons: very serious words unrelated to FdI
"FdI distances itself from the declarations of the municipal councilor of Vercelli Giuseppe Cannata, elected three months ago as an independent on the FdI lists but never enrolled in the movement". The president of iFratelli of Italy, Giorgia Meloni wrote it. "His very serious statements - he adds - do not reflect in any way the thought of FdI. There is no place for those who write certain things in the Brothers of Italy". "But we don't accept lessons from anyone, especially from the Democratic Party", he adds quoting the Bibbiano case
