"The Egyptian lawyer and human rights activist Gamal Eid said that he was attacked by elements of the Ministry of Interior near his house in Cairo," he said.

Through his accounts on social media, Eid - who runs the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information - published a picture of him, and he poured on his face and clothes various dye colors.

"My angel's cars without numbers, officers with guns, assault and dumping the boya (dye) next to my house, Sisi’s interior became a gang ... Down with the police state," Eid wrote.

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information said that its director, Jamal Eid, was attacked by officers and security personnel who ambushed him near his house, beat him and dumped him with multiple dyes.

While the Egyptian Commission for Rights and Freedoms condemned what Eid was subjected to, affirming its solidarity with him against those attacks.

Eid was previously assaulted by unknown persons on October 10 in a street in Maadi, and his mobile phone was stolen, which caused a broken rib cage, injury to his right forearm, and broken his glasses, according to a statement by the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information.

Eid was also subjected to the theft of his car a few days ago, and the destruction of a lawyer’s car in the network he runs, according to previous human rights data.
